Nach all den Jahren vergeblicher Liebesmüh hat Willi Kojote es satt, dass bisher jedes einzelne Produkt der ACME Corporation eine erfolgreiche Jagd auf den Road Runner vereitelt hat. Kojote beschließt deshalb, das Unternehmen für seine mangelhafte Ware in die Verantwortung zu nehmen, und engagiert den ebenso glück- wie mittellosen Anwalt Kevin Avery (Will Forte), um gegen ACME vor Gericht zu ziehen. After all these years of fruitless efforts, Wile E. Coyote is fed up with the fact that every single product from the ACME Corporation has so far thwarted his attempts to catch the Road Runner. Coyote therefore decides to hold the company accountable for its defective products and hires the equally lucky and penniless lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte) to take ACME to court. When he discovers that the company’s legal department is headed by Buddy Crane (John Cena), the smug boss of his former law firm, he does everything in his power to win the case.
